The students of Cedar Christian School held an art contest in the Cedartown Library Wednesday afternoon.

Students' "Life in the Ocean" themed creations ranged from mirrors to cakes to a transformed aquarium that gave the illusion of escaping fish.

The artwork was judged by local artist Julia Knight, Cedartown Police Capt. Henry Runyon and Angela Campbell, the Cedartown librarian.

Students received prizes and gift certificates from local sponsors including Home Depot, Top This, El Nopal, Casey's Foods, Dragons 4 All, Lolleeposh Boutique and CVS Pharmacy.

The artwork is currently on display in the meeting room of the Cedartown Library.
