Students went from booth to booth during the Cherokee Elementary career day held Friday asking questions and learning about various jobs (Jake Carter/thepolkfishwrap.com)

Cherokee Elementary School held a career day for students Friday with over a number of local and regional businesses participating.

Students were able to ask questions about jobs ranging from the military and emergency services to dentistry or finance.

The participants included: Hon, FBN, Edward Jones, Coosa Dental, CMS, Kimoto Tech, Cone Shiflett and Hunt Insurance, the Boy Scouts, Drug Counseling, Polk Safe Kids, Georgia Power, Cedartown Police and Fire Departments, Redmond EMS, Waste Services, the GBI, WGAA Radio, the National Guard and the Marines.
