Cedartown’s eighth annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day March was held at 4 p.m. today.

Dozens of marchers lined Main Street and made their way from the intersection of Thompson and Rock street and continued down Main Street to the Cedartown Civic Auditorium.

Tonight, the annual King Celebration will take place at 7 p.m. at the auditorium.

The keynote speaker will be Letitia Owens, President and Creative Director of R' Tish Creations, Inc. Community Service Awards will also be presented during the celebration.

Those receiving awards include Hal Floyd, Pastor Tony Davis, Elliot Gammage, Clarence Gibson, Kelly McLendon, James Morris, Anil Patel, Gary Reid, Scotty Tillery, Dale Tuck, Melissa Washington and Tara Payne.
