Polk County Grand Jury make indictments

There were a host of indictments from the Polk County Grand Jury relating to sexual offenses with 11 people indicted on such charges.

Two men were indicted on charges involving adults and nine were indicted in incidents involving children, according to court records.

Dadrian Ray Davis, of 6 Arnold St., Rockmart, was indicted on charges of kidnapping, burglary, aggravated sodomy and false imprisonment.

According to court records, he allegedly broke into a woman’s Cedartown home on May 26, 2009, beat, kidnapped her, and sodomized the victim and kept her from escaping.

Davis was arrested that same day and bonded out in June 2009 on that charge. He has been arrested on other charges since then and has been out of jail on bond since May 2010.

Artie Lavale Price, no address available, was indicted on charges of false imprisonment, aggravated assault and rape. His charges stem from alleged incidents occurring on May 24 and May 25 of 2010 involving an adult woman.

Israel Tino Pablo, 19, of 120 B Georgia Avenue, Cedartown, was indicted on charges of statutory rape and child molestation stemming from incidents allegedly occurring from Dec. 3, 2011 until Dec. 4, 2011 with a girl under 16-years-old.

Pablo was arrested in December after he allegedly coaxed a 13-year-girl. Pablo remains in the Polk County Jail.

Stan Ivan Todd, of 2075 Fish Creek Road, Cedartown, was indicted on charges of child molestation and sexual battery of a child under 16-years-old stemming from a July 27, 2011 incident involving the alleged groping of a female youth.

Todd was arrested in July 2011 and has been out on bond since August 2011.

Christopher Michael Cox of 211 Virginia Ave., Cedartown, was indicted on two counts of incest, two counts of aggravated stalking, four counts of child molestation, and two counts sexual battery of a child under 16-years-old.

The indictment stems from alleged repeated incidents between January 2009 and August 2011 involving two female relatives. Court records indicate the alleged incidents began when both girls were under 10-years-old and continued into pre-adolescence.

Cox was arrested in August 2011 and remains in the Polk County Jail.

Gerald Willis Humphrey Jr., of 418 Stitts Road, Piedmont, Ala., was indicted on statutory rape regarding an alleged incident occurring July 10, 2009, with a girl under 16-years-old.

Humphrey was arrested May 21, 2010, on the charge and was released on bond May 23, 2010.

Benny Franklin Kirk, of 169 Georgia Ave., Steele, Ala., was indicted on charges of aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, two counts of child molestation, cruelty to children and sexual battery of a child under 16-years-old.

The allegations stem from alleged repeated incidents between Jan. 1, 2000 and Dec. 31, 2001 with a boy under 16-years-old and continuing past his 16th birthday.

Kirk was arrested June 12, 2011, on the charges and was released on bond June 23, 2011.

Robert Keith Hamilton, Veronica Mae Bell and Teresa Ann Snell were all indicted on charges relating to incidents with the same girl who was under 16-years-old.

Hamilton, of 1139B Fairview Road, Rockmart, was indicted on five counts of child molestation, sexual battery, cruelty to children in the second degree and reckless conduct stemming from his alleged sexual contact with the girl from Jan. 1, 2010 until July 1, 2010.

He was arrested December 8, 2010, on the charges and was released on bond in May 2011.

Bell, of 143 Everett Drive, Rockmart, was indicted on child molestation and sodomy charges for alleged abuse of the girl from Sept. 1, 2010 until Sept. 24, 2010.

She was arrested on these charges in September 2010 and made bond in December 2010. Bell was last released from jail in March.

Snell, of 100 Morgan St., Rockmart, was indicted on a related cruelty to children charge because she allegedly allowed the abuse to occur.

She was arrested September 28, 2010, on that charge and bonded out Sept. 29, 2010. The last time she was released from jail was February.

Christopher David Streetman, no address available was indicted on charges of rape, two counts of aggravated sodomy and false imprisonment.

The allegations against him stems from incidents in June 2011 with a girl under the age of 16 and lasting beyond the girl’s 16th birthday.
