The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, June 1:

1. Hummingbird Point Appartments, 63 Cherokee Road, Cedartown, will hold a community yard sale on June 1 and 2 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.

2. The Cedartown Senior Citizen Nutrition Center located next to Burt Wood Park has activities Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seniors 55 and older may participate in activites. Seniors 60 and older may participate in activities as well as nutritional meals and trips.

3. The Kiwanis Club of Cedartown meets every Friday at 12:15 p.m. at Cherokee Country Club.

4. Redtop Mountain State Park, 50 Lodge Road, Cartersville, is holding twilight hikes each Friday from 7:30-9 p.m. The cost is $1 per person and all vehicles must display an annual or daily park pass.
