The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, Nov. 13:

1. The Georiga Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association will hold a family caregiver lunch and lern on Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Cedartown Library. The lunch is a tim to learn from and socialize with other family caregivers. Instruction will cover the basics such as memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer's Disease. The speaker for the event will be Susan Greene, geriatric nurse practitioner.

2. Feed Polk County, which will be providing a community Thanksgiving meal in Cedartown, is holding organizational meetings at 6:30 p.m. today at Cedar Ridge Church, located in the downtown area on Main Street.

3. The Polk School District Board of Education will hold a combined public input and regular session meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the central office.

4. The Cedartown Senior Citizen Nutrition Center located next to Burt Wood Park has activities Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seniors 55 and older may participate in activities. Seniors 60 and older may participate in activities as well as nutritional meals and trips.
