He was born on April 28, 1926 in Polk County, a son of James Barney McBryde and Mary Rebecca Parham McBryde.
Mr. McBryde retired from the Good Year Tire and Rubber Company after many dedicated years of service. He was a U.S. Veteran proudly serving with the United States Army. He was a member of the Caledonia Lodge #121 F&AM, the Georgia Mountain Music Club and was also a member of the American Legion. Mr. McBryde was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Barney McBryde and Mary Rebecca Parham McBryde and 11 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Louise Wiggins McBryde and son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Marsha McBryde Sr. A number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral Services were conducted on Friday, May 25 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with Rev. Earnest Thompson officiating. Interment followed in the Northview Cemetery with Masonic rites conducted by the Northwest Georgia Memorial Masonic Group.
Pallbearers were members of the Northwest Georgia Memorial Masonic Group. Honorary pallbearers were Ralph Willbanks, David Brown and Paul Arnold Mason.
