The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, June 20:

1. Main Street will be temporarily closed for "Jayne Mansfield's Car" Monday morning.

2. Polk County Pot Plane Movie aka “In Hot Pursuit” to be shown Monday at 7:00pm at the Cedartown Library.

3. The Compassionate Friends of Polk County meets the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at Second Baptist Church, 152 Evergreen Lane, in Cedartown (across from Cherokee Elementary School).

4. ATLANTA –Joint meetings of the House and Senate Legislative and Congressional Reapportionment Committees will take place throughout the state with a series of public hearings.
