The Rockmart-Cedartown football game is a chance for both communities to show their spirit and Rockmart High School’s Renaissance team is making sure Jacket fans are excited for the contest.

The group is selling special game shirts in the high school’s front office that goes with the “blackout” theme that they hope to accomplish at Friday night’s game in Cedartown.

Shirts are $10 and will also be on sale at the “Burning of the Bulldog” community pep rally Thursday night at 8 p.m. at Rockmart High School.

Rockmart Renaissance adviser Matt Johnson and a group of students will be organizing special spirit events at school on Friday.

Johnson is hoping that all Rockmart fans who come to the game Friday will wear black and create a “blackout” effect in the visitors’ stands at Cedartown Memorial Stadium. The game begins at 7:30 p.m.
