The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County today, May 11:

1. The Cedartown Senior Citizen Nutrition Center located next to Burt Wood Park has activities Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seniors 55 and older may participate in activites. Seniors 60 and older may participate in activities as well as nutritional meals and trips.

2. The Doc Ayers/Ray Beck Celebrity Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012. Tee time is 11 a.m. at the Cherokee Country Club in Cedartown. For more information, contact Debra Sims at 770-748-9723, or Ann Davison, at 770-748-9834.

3. The Kiwanis Club of Cedartown meets every Friday at 12:15 p.m. at Cherokee Country Club.

4. The Rockmart High School Class of 1962 will hold its final meeting to complete plans for its 50th reunion on Friday, May 11 at 6 p.m. at the Pizza Depot. Everyone who can attend is encouraged to come.
