Instead of the usual batting practice and fundamental drills, the Powerbombs were able to play their mother's in a special game for an early Mother's Day present.
"Heather Thomas (a team mom) came up with the idea, and we thought it was a good idea," head coach Alfred Potts said. "It's a way for the girls and their moms to celebrate Mother's Day."
The game was played on the softball field behind the Polar Cub No. 2 restaurant.
"It's a mommy/daughter type game," assistant coach Breault Thomas said. "We thought it would be fun."
