The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Robert Benam Award was presented in Atlanta at the State Bar of Georgia.
Presented annually, the award recognizes the professionalism and community service of outstanding attorneys. Lundy was recognized not only for his commitment to the profession, but locally for his service to Cedartown and Polk County through the Cedartown Theatrical Performers Company LLC, a program for children. The theatre company showcases local young talent through the performance of annual Broadway shows.
Lundy also was recognized for the annual Safe and Defensive Driving class, held every February and March to help teenage drivers be aware of the hazards and dangers of driving.
Lundy is senior partner at the law firm of Parker and Lundy, located at 212 Main St., Cedartown. Recently, Lundy and his firm obtained record jury verdicts of $9,502,683 and $2 million in cases involving mistreatment of the elderly in nursing home and health care facilities. Lundy’s partners are his brother, Richard, and Charles E. Morris Jr. The firm has been in existence since 1949.
Lundy and his wife, Catharine, also started a private school, Christian Academy LCA, located at 242 East Ave., Cedartown, in 2005. They couple have been married 29 years and they have four children: Laura, Will, Lee and Spencer.
Lundy also is proud to be a former Cedartown High School Bulldog.
