Mrs. Galloway

Mrs. Myrtle Marie Galloway, 85, of Cedartown, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012.

She was born May 17, 1927 in Polk County, to the late Gilbert and Mamie Greer Evans, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Calvin C. Galloway in 2005.

Mrs. Galloway was a long time member of Wimberly Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Linda Galloway, and Michael and Debbie Galloway; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Eddie Cox and Sara and Johnny Pruitt; sister, Eunice Mason; nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, June 20 at 3 p.m. in the Wimberly Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Vines officating.

Interment followed in the Polk Memory Gardens.

The family asked David Galloway, Chris Galloway, Chris Altschuler, Jeff Privett, Douglas DosSantos and Jarret Allen to serve as pallbearers. Kenneth Detrouio, grandchildren and great grandchildren served as honorary pallbearers.
