2. The Cedartown Senior Citizen Nutrition Center located next to Burt Wood Park has activities Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seniors 55 and older may participate in activites. Seniors 60 and older may participate in activities as well as nutritional meals and trips.

4. The Mamie R. Hammock Memorial Scholarship Fund board of directors is seeking donations to help support the fund in 2012. The scholarship fun is named for the health occupations instructor at Cedartown High School. Miss Hammock worked at CHS from 1983 until her death in 1996. The scholarship fund was established in February 1997 to assist CHS graduates to prepare for careers in health occupations and education. Donations to the fund are tax deductible.
