Rockmart man faces misdemeanor citation for public indecency

A Rockmart man was arrested Tuesday on charges of public indecency.

Polk County Police Department officers responded to a 911 call Nov. 13 from a truck driver witnessing the incident.

Officers stopped Benjamin Levaughn Reed, 57, of 18 Buckeye Drive, Rockmart, on Highway 278 at Bethlehem Road.

The citation states there was an empty school bus traveling behind Reed at the time of the alleged incident.

Reed was cited and arrested shortly after 8 a.m., according to police and jail records. He was released around 8 p.m. Nov. 13 on a cash bond.
