The Cedartown High School Bulldogs basketball team had a season to remember this past winter.

The Bulldogs went 21-10, finished second in Region 6-AAA, advanced to the Class AAA state quarterfinals in the playoffs, hosted a state playoff game for the first time in school history and won two playoff games for what many believe is the first time ever.

Now the Bulldogs can add one more thing to their list of accomplishments. The Bulldogs have finished the season in the recently released final state rankings.

The Bulldogs finished No. 9 in the Georgia Sports Writers Association Poll and the GaSports.com Coaches poll. They are the only boys team from Region 6-AAA to finish the season state-ranked.

“I am extremely excited and pleased for these young men,” Head Coach Benji Frazier said. “They deserve all the accolades and praise they are receiving.”
