The following is a list of events going on in and around Polk County this weekend, Dec. 15-16:

1. Second Baptist Church, 152 Evergreen Lane, Cedartown, will hold a Christmas Dessert Theater on Saturday, Dec. 15 and Sunday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. each night. Tickets are free and can be reserved by calling 770-748-5252. Childcare will be provided.

2. The Rockmart Theatre, 116 East Elm St., Rockmart, will show "A Country Christmas Carol" on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. Tickets will be $10 at the door or $5 in advance and advance pricing online by using discount code “RCAC” at www.RockmartLittleTheatre.TicketLeap.com.

3. Calvary Assembly of God, 300 Canal St., will be holding its annual Christmas Cantata on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 11 a.m. The Calvary Assembly of God choir will be performing the choral composition.

4. Euharlee Baptist Church, 1103 Euharlee Road, will present “Start at the Manger” on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m.

5. First Baptist Church of Cedartown will hold a candlelight service in the church sanctuary at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16.
