School spokeswoman Elizabeth Stone says Congressional Gold Medal recipient James Pack will speak in the Campus Center ballroom Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Pack, of Villa Rica, was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal in 2011 and is set to discuss his historic experience as a Marine. The event also features Fred Codes, president of the Montford Point Marine Association -which is an organization devoted to preserving the memory of the first African-American Marine Corps members.
The event is free and open to the public.
