Special public meeting called to discuss plans for Westside Elementary

The Polk School District Board of Education will meet in special session next week to inform the public, Westside Elementary School parents and faculty regarding plans for the 2007 -2008 school year.

Westside was left with a considerable amount of damage after an early-morning fire broke out in one of the classrooms on June 13. No one was injured and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 26, at 7:30 p.m. The meeting is to be held in the Cedartown Civic Auditorium.
