Firefighters battle car fire Tuesday night

The Lake Creek Fire Department, along with the Cedartown City Fire Department responded Tuesday night around 10:20 p.m. to a fully involved vehicle fire in the Rolling Hills subdivision behind Sullins Cleaning Services. The 1998 Chevy Lumina’s gas tank ignited, according to initial reports, and firefighters were worried about the close proximity of the car to two truck trailers located near the business. Firefighters put out the flames in about 40 minutes and no other damage was reported.The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
