Hunter safety classes will be offered on three occasions this fall in Polk County.
The first class will be Aug. 19 at 5:30 p.m. This class will be an online course that must be completed at www.beasafehunter.org. Once the course is completed online, simply print test results from the computer, sign it and bring it to the Aug. 19 class to take the final test.
The second class will be an eight hour, two-night course starting on Sept. 14 and ending Sept. 16. These classes will start at 5:30 and end at 9:30 each night. Students must attend both nights to be certified.
The last class of the year will be Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. This class will be an online course and the above online directions should be followed.
Anyone wishing to attend one of these classes should register now by going online at www.georgiawildlife.com. When registering, go to hunter safety and click the course registration icon, enter county and choose a course. Then enter personal information to register for a course.
